In Memory of the Lost Men of
Prince of Wales
~The Men Who
Died During the 'Battle of the Denmark Strait,' May 1941~
The
following men died during, or as a result of the action with the German
battleship Bismarck on 24th May 1941.
Thirteen of these men were lost
at their action stations on the compass platform when a shell from
Bismarck passed through.
One other died later from
wounds sustained during the battle.
