Mentioned in Harold Siddall's memoirs. With the repairs completed the ship was ready to leave Liverpool, but not before a number of experienced officers and men left us to help boost knowledge in other ships and some to attend schools before advancement. These places were taken by H. O.’s - Hostilities Only people, called up for war service. I subsequently learned that one of those R.N.V.R. sub-lieutenants was Frank Johnson, who would later be the Headmaster at my children’s primary school.
