James Higham

Petty Officer Stoker

My grandfather's name was James Higham, he was born on Jan 4 1918, and died on June 12 1980 of lung cancer. He was a stoker (stoker PO at some time) onboard HMS Repulse when she was sunk in 1941. He was picked-up by an American ship (This was probably HMAS Vampire, an Australian ship). His best mate was Taffy Morgan, who died during the sinking.
