Text of the above news clipping for Alfred Hannay: Telegrams from the Admiralty reveal that two Bradford men are among the survivors of the Repulse. Ordinary seaman Alfred Hannay, aged 23, of 22, Moser Avenue, Five Lane Ends, Bradford. Ordinary seaman Hannay became 23 years of age on the day that the Repulse was sunk.. He joined the Navy about a year ago. He is Married. In civil life Hannay was employed as a barber with Mr Fred Smith of Harris Street.
