Above is a picture of Edmund Dodd of HMS Repulse. He was a Royal Navy Petty Officer serving on HMS Repulse in 1924.
Written in ink on the back are the following words:

"Edmund Dodd to Charles George with best wishes 20th April 1924 With true british surprise HMS Repulse Sydney Australia"

The picture must have been sent during the 1923 - 1924 'Cruise of the Special Service Squadron' in which HMS Repulse accompanied HMS Hood on a world cruise, including a visit to Sydney, Australia.

Nothing more is known about Edmund.
