Pulmonary oedema is a condition in which fluid accumulates in your lungs, caused by back pressure in the lung veins.
it is usually a complication of: 
a heart attack; 
cardiac dysfunction; 
a disease of the valves in your heart, (called "mitral or aortic valve disease") ; 
exposure to high altitude.
