Leonard William Cook

RAF Personnel

My father Leonard William Cook, served with the RAF on HMS Repulse, he left the ship in Singapore, just prior to the sinking.
Can anyone offer details of him & the role he played in supporting an aircraft launching capability using a short run catapult system?
My Father having passed away in 1998 leaves me with a historical void on this matter, any & all info data appreciated.
