was born in Hayes on 14 May 1897
He gained a First degree in theology in 1923, and was ordained at Hartlebury
in 1923.
Appointed as Vice-Principal of Ripon Hall, Oxford in 1924.
Elected to the Senior Denyer and Johnson Scholarship, 1927:
Applied to become Chaplain and Lecturer at Exeter College, Oxford, 1927:
Appointed as Canon Residentiary and Chancellor of Liverpool Cathedral, 1933:
Faculties Cambridge University Appointments Committee of Faculty of Divinity have appointed
J S B as a University Lecturer in Divinity from 1 January 1953 to retirement..
H.M.S. Excellent - "The Ward Room Officers of H.M.S. Excellent hope that The Rev. Canon
J. S. Bezzant B.D., M.A., R.N.V.R. will consider himself an honorary member of their mess."
Bezzant served in H.M.S. Excellent, H.M.S. Repulse, & H.M.S. King George.
