Joseph Sidney Bayliss

(Engine Room crew)

My father, Joseph Sydney Bayliss, was engine room crew when the Repulse was sunk. His exact rank and title I do not know. He spent the remainder of the war in Taiwan, or Formosa as it was then. He died in 1966 at the age of 53.
He was not an H.O. but had been in the Royal Navy for some time before the war.

Hopefully someone may remember him. 

Alas, the number of men who served on the Repulse, and who are still living must be dwindling fast.
