HAROLD WRIGHT NAVY NUMBER - KX104672 STOKER 1ST CLASS My grandfather was one of the sailors on the HMS Prince of Wales when it was sunk. He survived the sinking, but was injured. He was taken to hospital in Singapore. On his release he and others, on launches, went looking for other survivors and he was captured by the Japanese in the jungle, taken to Changi Jail and released after the war. He died in 1973. |
