My Uncle Frederick Joseph
Wootton served on HMS Prince of Wales. He survived the sinking of the ship and returned to Singapore. He and three other Marines eventually became part of the British Sumatra Battalion. He was repatriated in 1946 and lived to be a deacon of Claremont Baptist Chapel in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. He Died in Sept 1993. |
