My Grandfather, John William King (Johnny) was on
HMS Prince of Wales when it was sunk. He survived and was taken aboard
a Destroyer. Shortly thereafter he was captured by the Japanese and held as a POW. Paddy Scott, a 19 yr old from Glasgow and himself then shot their way out of the POW
camp and headed for 'freedom.' I know for a fact that he was a POW and shot his way out of the camp as there are numerous newspaper articles supporting this. My Grandfather was a very famous sportsman, hence the book and the articles. |
