My mother who recently passed away left in my care a number of documents relating to my fathers naval history. My father who died some 17 years ago was on board HMS Prince of Wales when it sunk. His identification details are A. B. D/SSX22907. My father was also one of the lucky ones who survived, although from the date the ship sunk to receiving notification by telegram on the 16th December 1941, it was sometime before he arrived home which was mid 1942. My father unfortunately rarely spoke of the event. David S. Irving |
