Signalman

My grandfather, Percy William James EGLINTON, served on HMS Prince of Wales as a Signalman. I have a press cutting my grandmother kept from the local 
newspaper detailing that he was a survivor of the sinking.
Unfortunately, my grandfather was reported missing (presumed dead) on Friday 13th February, 1942. From what I can gather from a letter my grandmother 
received from Sgn W. Garnett (not sure of spelling of surname) my grandfather left Singapore on HMS Scorpion shortly prior to the capitulation, and was last seen by Ldg Signalman Coles (again, unsure of spelling) at Kranji Wireless Station around 4th February (this information was confirmed by Chief Yeoman of Signals Snowling)

From what I can find on the web (which isn't much), HMS Scorpion was one of the last ships to leave Singapore - it was sunk by the Japanese.
