My wife's Uncle, Arthur
Edwards - known to his shipmates as "Pat" was a signalman
aboard HMS Prince of Wales and survived her sinking, although
unfortunately he was not to survive the war as he died when HMS Whitaker
was sunk by a U-boat on 11th November 1944. As an aside, my wife's family have in their possession a key which is reputed to be the key of the signal room which "Pat" locked just before he abandoned ship. |
