I never knew my Grandfather,
he died before I was born. He was a Petty Officer Stoker called Robert Browning, service number D/K 63072. He was known as Paddy to his friends. He survived the sinking of HMS Prince of Wales and was later captured in Singapore, he worked as a POW on the Burma Railway and survived. I am told he never spoke of his times in the Far East. I would like to know if anyone knew him or spoke of him. Martin Domaille |
