| Carl Wight Patterson born 21 January 1921 service number D/MX 73302 I was on HMS Jupiter when it hit the mine in the Java Sea battle. Looking again with fresh eyes at my certificate of service it is possible that I was on Jupiter as a temporary replacement. This is what is written down:- |

Interesting to read the names, Frank Platt and myself drifted for two nights and a day some 50km along the coast on a paravane float before getting ashore at Kragan where we joined a large group of Jupiter crew in the local post office yard. Please contact Andy (webmaster) with any information. |
