My Father was drafted to HMS DORSETSHIRE on 12 June 1941 and was sunk on the DORSETSHIRE in 5 April 1942. He was eventually rescued by a Merchant ship after 36 hours and taken to Australia. He was a leading wireman and talked of his friend Mickey Fallon. I believe I have a photograph of them in Hong Kong. My father went on to serve on HMS Black Prince until 1946 and died in 1962. I would be interested to know of any stories about him if anyone reading this knew him.
